The Cup of Confederations-2017 is over. It was a football holiday grandiose in its scale and atmosphere. During this time the Kazan citizens saw spectacular matches with the participation of bright teams from Portugal, Mexico, Russia, Germany, and Chile. The whole world saw how welcoming Kazan can be. Thanks to our citizens for this! Football players, fans, and journalists noted the hospitality, friendliness of our city and its inhabitants! Such events lead the city to a new level, changing not only the infrastructure but the mentality of the inhabitants. This is worth a lot!

In the process of preparing and holding the tournament, Kazan deservedly received high estimates from the leadership of FIFA, heads of national teams’ delegations, the country's leadership, the organizing committee, football players, and fans. A lot of work has been done, a lot of effort has been invested. And what is important, we prepare events not in an emergency mode but in an organized, systematic one, according to a clear plan, where everyone knows what to do. Although the amount of work is large, 90% of which is not visible to guests or participants of the competition.

The main result of the Confederations Cup is that it passed without emergency situations and surprises. Unprecedented security measures were taken during the preparation and conduction of the tournament. Of course, obtained experience will be in demand when holding the World Cup-2018. Despite flattering reviews and appreciation of the Confederations Cup, we have much to grow. We saw our faults, we know there is no limit to perfection. It is necessary to work on the mistakes. During this year, we must work to make the World Cup even better.
