I. Metshin on the construction of roads in 2021

We continue the major transformations, construction projects that our predecessors dreamt about 50 and 25 years ago.

“A total of 11.7 billion rubles were allocated, we delivered such amounts only on the eve of major events. This year we are waiting for a huge amount of work. Today, three key programs are being implemented – the republican road repair program, the federal project “Safe and Quality Roads” and the program of Tatarstan President “Our Yard”. Seven contractors will be engaged in roads repair.”

In total, this year it is planned to renovate 23 city and 22 village streets, 78 driveways and 4 roads to garden societies. All work is carried out according to the schedule.

The year 2021 will go down in the history of road infrastructure with the beginning of the construction of the Voznesensky tract. This is the outbound highway, the relief road of the Mamadyshsky tract. This is a very important project – work is planned at a four-kilometer section from the Ametyevskaya highway to Pobedy Avenue with two interchanges, pedestrian crossings, and the re-laying of utilities.

Four-lane highway from Nesmelova Street to the Serebryany Bor residential complex - the relief road of the Gorkovsky highway-will become a “road of life” for Kazan, since the entrance to and exit from the city along the Gorkovsky highway has always been difficult, and today an active construction is underway.

The U-turn loop on the Orenburgsky Tract and the underground passage on Mavlyutova Street, which was started last year, are also important for traffic safety.

Along with the repair of roads, the entire road infrastructure, including lighting, is being put in order. We remain the approach we have developed, when during renovation or building a social facility, whether it is a school or a kindergarten, we try to make a complete overhaul of the road infrastructure in the adjacent territory. This is very important for road safety.
