(KZN.RU, April 13). Today, the concert of the Mariinsky Theater Symphony Orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiev took place on the stage of the Great State Concert Hall named after S. Saidashev. The concert that took place within the framework of the XVII Moscow Easter Festival. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, visited the event.
The Easter Festival is the largest music forum in Russia, which annually gathers thousands of listeners. It was created in 2002 on the initiative of Valery Gergiev, an artistic director and director of the Mariinsky Theater, and the Moscow Government. Today, the Moscow Easter Festival has covered 145 cities in Russia and 5 countries. For the years of the festival, several thousand performers from all over the world took part in it. World-class artists, and young talents are laureates of the International Tchaikovsky Competition are among them.
Kazan concerts are traditionally included in the symphonic program of the forum, which covers almost 30 cities of Russia in 2018.
