November 8). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, with his wife visited one of
the premiere shows of the play “Mirkay and Aisylu”, which was held at the Tatar
State Academic Theater named after G. Kamal.
The
production was based on the play by Naki Isanbet, a classic of the Tatar drama.
It tells the story of lovers whose feelings are subjected to serious challenges
from the outside world. At one time, Marsel Salimzhanov staged the play “Mirkay
and Aisylu”. Half a century after, young director Ilgiz Zainiev took over,
giving it his reading. The audience warmly received the premiere and
appreciated the actors' performance.
Presentation
of the II Republican Prize in the field of theatrical art named after Marsel
Salimzhanov took place before the performance. The winners of the award were
Robert Shaimardanov, the director of the Muzelinsky Theater named after S.
Amutbaev, an Honored Worker of Culture of the RT, the staff of the Kazan State
Theater of the Young Spectator, and Rizvan Khamidullin, a playwright, an
Honored Artist of the RT.
