The charity
performance “The Mowgli Generation” with the participation of Kazan
schoolchildren will be held in the capital of the Tatarstan during the autumn
holidays. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, spoke about why it is worth to
visit a musical.
The premiere
of the performance took place this summer. He visited it with his wife and
children. Kazan children from the theatrical studio of Konstantin Khabensky, a
People's Artist of Russia, took part in the production and performed on the
same stage with outstanding artists. “I went with my family and got great
pleasure from the professionalism of our young performers. We started the
studio of Konstantin Khabensky 4-5 years ago, and during this time the young
talents grew into venerable actors who please not only their parents and peers
but also the sophisticated spectator”, the Mayor shared his impressions.
He said
that the performance will be shown in Ufa next, where all the tickets have
already been sold out. “I think that it is needed to inform high schools,
colleges, students and give them the opportunity to attend the play. Moreover,
the project is charitable, and all means will go to the treatment of cancer
patients through the fund of K. Khabensky, who pays much attention to charity.
This is another opportunity to save the lives of children”, said Ilsur Metshin.
The
premiere of the musical performance “The Mowgli Generation” was successfully
held in Kazan in June this year. More than 5000 spectators attended the
performances. All collected funds (more than 1 million rubles) were transferred
to charity.
Russian
stars Elmira Kalimullina and Timur Rodriguez take part in the musical
performance “The Mowgli Generation” together with pupils of children's theater
studios in Kazan. The play takes the audience into the modern world. The
protagonist Mowgli fled from the ideal and prosperous Big City to the poor and
cruel Stone Jungle, to the backyard of the commuter town of the metropolis. He
will rediscover the world and people around him, facing the philosophies and
life values of various heroes of the “stone jungle”.
