The Kazan children will receive twice more dairy mixes than earlier
To increase the volume of milk free food for Kazan kids was possible through the intervention of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin told about it today, making comments on a decision taken by the Executive committee of the city.
Recall that at the end of last year Tatarstan kids began to receive, on average, 2 times less than earlier of the free adapted dry mixes, and in 3,3 times - of dairy products.
The decrease was due to changes in legislation.
Since then kids nutrition, except for those belonging to the privileged categories (from low-income families, or suffering from anemia and protein-energy malnutrition) should have been provided through private means of mums and dads.
Naturally, such a drastic restriction in obtaining free dairy products has angered parents, who began to address the Internet-reception of the Mayor of Kazan and ask to explain what caused a decrease of extradition of milk.
Ilsur Metshin instructed the head of the Department of public health services of Executive committee of a city to analyze the situation and appealed for support to the leadership of the republic. "Through the intervention of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and understanding of the Ministry of Health of Tatarstan, we managed to solve this problem in the first quarter of 2010", - said the Mayor of Kazan.
Kazan Executive committee adopted the Decree № 2906 of 25.03.2010 on the issue of additional volumes of food to children of the first year of life: 400 grams of liquid milk formula and 200 grams of milk products. And in the list of categories were additionally included children with a true food allergy, with HIV infection and children of HIV-infected mothers.
"As a young father and as an experienced father, and as Mayor I understand how important is the issue of kids balanced diet" - said Ilsur Metshin. He assured that for the supply of children's dairy products were allocated sufficient funds and once again express gratitude to the President of Tatarstan.
"I hope such problems will not arise any more", - concluded the Mayor of Kazan.
